4 schools record impressive victories

Pune, Dec 1 (UNI): Sardar Dastur COED School, Krida Prabodhini, ENNS Day School and SSPMS Boarding School recorded impressive victories over their opponents to qualify for the second round of the boys under-17 Abhijeet Kadam Memorial Youth Football Tournament today.

The tournament being jointly conducted by the Abhjieet Kadam Memorial Trust and the Deccan Eleven under the aegis of the Poona District Football Association at the green top Bharati Vidyapeeth education complex in Dhankawadi, saw Sardar Dastur COED School thrash Saint Patrick High School 2-0 and Krida Probodhini put out Riverdale International School 2-0.

SSPMS Boarding School made short work of Amruta High School, Nigadi 1-nil for entry into the second round. However, by far the most impressive win was recorded by ENNS Day School, who hit Vidyaanand Bhavan, Nigdi for a score with a 6-1 triumph.

SSPMS Boarding School: 1 (Durgesh Shetty 10 min) bt Amruta High School, Nigadi.

UNI
