Sydney, Nov 30 (UNI) Dashing middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh's recent good run of form has earned him accolades from former coach John Wright, who called for the southpaw's inclusion in the Test side in place of a senior batsman if the 'Men In Blue' wants to topple Australia at home this summer.

Wright has implored three tips for India to be successful in Australia -- to be aggressive, bat first where possible and pick next-generation stars such as Yuvraj Singh to humble the World Champions on their home turf.

''I hope Yuvraj gets a good look in as he plays well on hard and fast wickets. If you are aiming at succession planning you have to be looking at getting him involved as soon as you can,'' Wright was quoted as saying in the Australian media.

The 26-year-old Punjab batsman was adjudged man-of-the-series, scoring 272 in the five matches at an average of 68, in the recently-concluded ODIs against Pakistan, but has been overlooked for the ongoing Test series. However, Wright, who mentored India from 2000 to 2005, said it was unfair to keep the talented left-hander out of the Test equations.

''There's some who, because age is not on their side, their last performance counts. They are under some pressure.

''Yuvraj wasn't named in the Test side but he was the player of the one-day tournament against Pakistan. You have to be positive and aggressive when playing Australia,'' Wright said.

Apart from Yuvraj's inclusion, the newly-appointed 53-year-old high performance manager of New Zealand said the in order to tackle the Aussies in their home turf, India will have to play aggressive cricket.

''If India is brave enough to bat first, plays its two spinners and catches well it will be a very good series,'' he asserted.

Wright also lauded India'a newly-appointed Test captain Anil Kumble for his leadership qualities.

''Anil will be a very good Test captain. I am very pleased he has got that job,'' said Wright about the 37-year-old leg-spinner.
