Shillong, Nov 30 (UNI) A slight tremor, measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale, shook the state capital of Meghalaya early today.
The tremor occurred at around 0030 hrs with its epicentre located at Indo-Myanmar region, about 269 km from Central Seismological Observatory (CSO) at Upper Shillong, sources said.
There was no report of loss of life or damage of property.
The aftershooks were also felt in neighbouring states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur, the sources added. Last week, an earthquake of magnitude 3.3 had shook the state capital.
