Jaipur, Nov 30(UNI) Vishwa Hindu Prishad international general secretary Praveen Togadia exhorted the people of Indian origin (read Hindus) in Malasiya to launch a non co-operation movement in order to get equal rights with the Muslims in that country.
Mr Togadia who was here as part of the nation wide campaign for the protection of Ram Sethu said though Hindus constitute only seven per cent of the population, they play a significant role in the economy of that country.
He advised the Hindus here to boycot all tourism-related visits to Malasiya till they establish equal rights to people of Indian origin in the country. He also advised the people of Indian origin to launch a non co-operation movement to establish their rights.
Mr Todagia said the VHP would organise a large rally attended by about 15 lakh people in Delhi on December 30 to press their demand for the protection of Ram Sethu.
He said a nation-wide campaign had been launched to mobilise public opinion in favour of their demand.
On the Taslima issue, the VHP leader said it is an issue between India and Bangladesh and the VHP is not concerned with Taslima's stay.
