Rajasthan releases policy for tourism units
Jaipur, Nov 30 (UNI) The Rajasthan Government has formulated a new policy for tourism units to address vital fiscal and property related issues of tourism units including, hotel, resorts and heritage hotels.
The policy document was released by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje during the inaugural session in Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit here.
Ms Raje said the policy covers norms for concessions on land conversion charges and other tax and revenue rebates.
The state had already announced its tourism policy last year, Ms Raje recalled.
Expressing need for boost in hotel and hospitality sector in the state, the Chief Minister said Rajasthan would need additional accommodation of around 25,000 hotel rooms in years to come.
