Mumbai, Nov 30 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India today denied that any member of the Indian team had made complaints regarding Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar's bowling action.
''We have not received any complaints from any Indian team member or management (on Akhtar's bowling action),'' BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said.
He said the International Cricket Council is the right authority to take action in case any doubts emerge about the legality of Akhtar's bowling action.
Mr Shah said their stand was the same as the ICC wherein no bowler's action has been clear throughout life and test their should be conducted at regular intervals on those bowlers who had come under the scanner before.
He was responding to news reports that Akhtar's bowling action during the opening Test between India and Pakistan at Delhi's Feroz Shah Kotla had not passed muster with the home team.
