Manipur CM collapses during function at Imphal

Imphal
early
today.
The chief minister had just finished addressing the function when he began to collapse. One of his security guards, who was nearby rushed to his side and helped him down.
The chief minister was reportedly not well when he was addressing the gathering today.
Ambulances were rushed to his official residence at Babupara, Imphal. His wife O Landhoni, an MLA, who was also attending the function also rushed in. There was a total chaos at the function location as the Mr Ibobi Singh was taken away.
Incidentally, Speaker Dr S Buddhichandra and MLA former Director of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences(RIMS) Dr Ng Bijoy were also attending the function. Governor Dr S S Sidhu, who was about to address the function continued addressing the gathering. The chief minister was extremely tired due to the political developments during the last one month as about 16 Congress MLAs, including president of the Congress Party Gaikhangam, senior Cabinet minister Th Debendra were at New Delhi demanding ouster of the chief minister.
Sources said the chief minister was tired as he had spent sleepless nights during the last few days. There is no official confirmation yet about the health of the CM however he has regained consciousness and doctors have already arrived at the official residence and are attending on him now.
Mr Ibobi Singh was reportedly looking tired, as he addressed the function and his voice was completely down. After saying Jai Hind following his address, he did not move and again repeated Jai Hind.
People gathered there thought he was collecting the documents after completion of his speech.
Immediately after providing first aid, he regained consciousness and was lifted to a sofa and then later taken to his official car, from where he was whisked away to his official residence about one km away.
