Lawyers boycott courts in TN
Chennai, Nov 30 (UNI) Lawyers in Tamil Nadu today boycotted courts, condemning the November 23 serial blasts in courts in Uttar Pradesh and expressing solidarity with the lawyers in the state.
Work in all courts in the state, including the Madras High Court, the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court and Tribunals were affected as the lawyers observed ''Protest Day'' and abstained from the courts.
In Madras High Court, the Judges came to the court and returned back to their chambers in the absence of lawyers in the courts.
The lawyers took out a procession inside court premises, condemning terrorism and demanding adequate protection to lawyers in courts.
