Interstate gang of cheats, autolifters busted; two held
New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) With the arrest of two men, the Delhi Police today claimed to have busted an interstate gang of cheats and autolifters.
The arrested, identified as Manoj Bhardwaj(28) and Chaman Lal(28), were also found to be in possession of three stolen vehicles, PAN cards, a passbook and driving licences in the names of fictitious people.
Acting on a tip-off, a trap was laid by a West District Police team near Subash Nagar and the duo were arrested along with a car.
During interrogation, the two confessed that they along with their accomplices had been committing fraud and cheating for the last one year.
A case has been registered at the Tilak Nagar Police Station and the duo booked under sections 419, 420, 468, 471 and 34 of the IPC.
Further investigations are on.
