Ahmedabad, Nov 30 (UNI) Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), under the aegis of its chief Bharatsinh Solanki and AICC General Secretary Manish Tiwari, today unveiled a ''charge-sheet'' against the Modi Government in a booklet form.

''The GPCC felt that the aspirations of the people of all segments must be respected and given a voice. Be it youth, women, farmers, government officers or anyone else, all of them have voiced their aspirations for a better life. For the past 12 years, there has been the rule of BJP in Gujarat. We wish to expose the lies that Chief Minister Narendra Modi and his friends have been uttering for long,'' Mr Solanki said.

Coming down heavily on the law and order situation in the state, Mr Solanki alleged, ''A mini-emergency like situation prevails in the state.'' When a poor man is robbed, the police refuses to register an FIR. Cases of loots and dacoities are on rise, he said.

There have also been encounter deaths where many Hindus have been killed for the Chief Minister's protection. In Gujarat, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report is suppressed while Lok Ayukta is being opposed. In contrast, Sonia Gandhi helped to bring about the Right to Information Act, Mr Solanki said.

''Today in Gujarat there is a virtual 'Jungle Raj'. But a veneer of sophistication is being given to the canard that is being spread about the bogus figures of progress. There are forced write-ups in magazines that talk of Gujarat being number one state in economic development,'' he said.

Mr Tiwari said the ''charge-sheet'' booklet is not a formality. It is issued only to unravel the lies that the BJP Government has been spreading here for the past five years as a cover-up. GPCC is trying to help people understand the true face of BJP, he added.
