Chandigarh, Nov 30 (UNI) A 'Dalit Samman Rally' will be organised on December 9 at Karnal to express gratitude to the Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for the number of schemes announced by him for the welfare of the Dalits and those living below poverty line in the state.
This was announced at a meeting of office bearers and workers of the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee addressed by the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at his residence here today.
The Chief Minister described the workers of the party as its backbone and appreciated their significant role in successfully organising a number of rallies in the State in the recent past.
He hoped that they would work with the same vigour to make the "Dalit Samman Rally" a big success.
President of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Phool Chand Mullana, who is also the President of Organising Committee of the "Dalit Samman Rally", said this rally had immense political significance and the people were very enthusiastic about it.
Mr Mullana said that such significant decisions of the government were being implemented in the state which had no parallel. He was all praise for the support of the workers for the success of the rallies and said that it was necessary to organise rallies so as to give a befitting reply to the misinformation campaign of the opposition.
Mr Mullana said the rally was being organised to express their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the initiatives taken by him to ameliorate the lot of the poor sections of the society.
