Court rejects Poabson Group's plea
Palakkad, Nov 30 (UNI) A local court here rejected the petition filed by Poabson Group, seeking permission to operate the Thhothampara Estate, which was taken over by Kerala Government after the lease period.
In its petition, the Poabson Group submitted that they should be permitted to operate the Toothumpara estate at Nelliampathi in view of organic farming activities it had undertaken in the estate.
Earlier, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan and Forest Minister Binoy Vishwam stated that the estate would not be handed over to Poabson Group.
