Hisar, Nov 30 (UNI) Supporters of rebel Congress MP Kuldeep Bishnoi today set afire a police checkpost and blocked roads to protest police action to impound buses engaged for transporting people to the 'Janhit rally', to be held in Rohtak on December 2.

The supporters also staged a demonstration and had verbal exchanges with police personnel in Hisar and Hansi in this district.

Ex MP Ramjee Lal and former minister Hari Singh Saini argued with the police for ''unnecessarily harassing'' bus owners and checking private buses engaged for transporting people for the 'Janhit rally'.

In the morning, supporters of the rally gathered on Balsmand road and blocked traffic.

In Hansi, the agitators staged a demonstration and raised slogans against the government. They also burnt the effigy of the chief minister.
