Another tremor shakes Shillong and neigbouring states
Shillong, Nov 30 (UNI) A slight tremor, measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale, shook the state capital of Meghalaya early today.
The tremor occurred at around 0030 hours(IST) with its epicentre located at Indo-Myanmar region about 269 km from Central Seismological Observatory(CSO) at Upper Shillong, CSO sources said.
There has not been any reports of loss of life or property.
Jolts of the quake were perceived in neighbouring states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur, CSO sources said.
Last week, an earthquake of light intensity shook Shillong. The tremor, measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale, had occurred at 1330 hours(IST) with its epicentre about 85 km from CSO.
