New Delhi, Nov 29 (UNI) Son of a Delhi builder has died apparently in an accidental firing in Vasant Kunj in South Delhi.
21-year old Varun, died when a gun, he was inspecting at the Vasant Kunj market along with his three friends, went off and hit his chest last night, police sources said.
Varun was rushed to Fortis hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Son of builder Surekh Malik, Varun was a student of Gurgaon Dhronacharya Engineering College.
He had gone to the B-10 market in Vasant Kunj along with his two friends - Sachin and Nitin - to meet their common friend Moti.
On questioning, Sachin and Moti revealed that the mishap occurred when they were inspecting the gun which Moti was carrying.
Meanwhile, Chetan, a 15 year-old servant of the builder, today committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of their house in Vasant Kunj.
Police said Chetan was deeply attached to Varun who he considered as his godfather who had brought him to the house several years ago.
After the death of Varun, Chetan did not eat anything for the whole day today, police said.
He was found hanging from the ceiling of the house when the family members returned to the house after the cremation, police said.
