Punjab govt to establish Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Nagkalan
Amritsar, Nov 29 (UNI) To bridge the knowledge gap between the scientists and farmers to reduce cost of farming, the Punjab government has decided to establish a Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Nagkalan village.
Punjab Minister for Information and Public Relation Bikram Singh Majithia, stated this today while addressing a huge gathering of farmers at Kathunagal.
"The
state
government
is
committed
to
make
farming
a
profitable
profession
and
the
Krishi
Vigyan
Kendra,
which
will
work
under
the
aegis
of
Punjab
Agriculture
University,
is
a
step
in
this
direction."
"The
main
aim
to
establish
this
KVK
is
to
reduce
farm
costs
by
educating
farmers
of
border
areas
about
latest
research
and
technique
in
the
field
of
agriculture
