Khushboo refuses to comment on case against her
Chennai, Nov 29 (UNI) Popular actor Khushboo, who is in the centre of a controversy again, this time for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus, today refused to comment on the case filed against her by a Hindu Munnani functionary.
Talking to UNI over phone from Goa, she said, ''I don't want to comment on it. I heard that a case has been filed against me''.
She also disowned a statement reportedly issued in her name that she had not hurt the sentiments of the Hindus.
''I had not issued any statement to the media and I don't want to comment on the case filed against me'', she said.
After facing ire over her remarks on pre-marital sex, the famed actor has courted another controversy for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Hindus, by sitting crossed-legged with her footwear pointed towards the idol of ''Mupperum Deviyar' -- Goddess Lakshmi, Parvathi Saraswathi -- during the Muhurat of a Tamil film ''Vallamai Thaaraayoh'' here recently.
A petition was filed in a Magistrate court at Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district by ''Ramnagar'' Gurumurthy, a Hindu Munnani functionary seeking action against the actor.
The court had posted the petition to December 3 for hearing.
