JDP calls 12-hour bandh to protest Guwahati incident
Purulia, Nov 29 (UNI) The Jharkhand Disham Party (JDP) has called a 12-hour statewide West Bengal bandh tomorrow in protest against the attacks on Adivasi protestors at Guwahati in Assam on November 24.
Secretary of the state committee of the JDP Aviram Besra said here today that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) was also supporting the bandh.
JMM state committee president Ajit Prosad confirmed the party's support for tomorrow's bandh.
''The bandh is justified as it has been called for the sake of the adivasis,'' he said.
''We also demand compensation for the victims,'' he added.
