Hamirpur (HP), Nov 29 (UNI) BJP MP and party's chief ministerial nominee Prem Kumar Dhumal today filed his nomination papers from the Bamsan assembly seat of this district of Himachal Pradesh.
He has already represented this seat twice in the state assembly. He had won the Bamsan seat in the last assembly polls but resigned his seat following his election to the Lok Sabha from this constituency this year.
Mr Sat Pal Jain, party's in charge for Himachal Affairs, Baldev Sharma, district BJP chief and Pyare Lal Sharma, the former chairman of Hamirpur Zila Parishad accompanied Prof Dhumal to the Returning Officers office.
Hundreds of supporters carrying the party flags and banners accompanied Prof Dhumal from Samirpur, his ancestrol village to the Returning Officers office.
Prof Dhumal expressed optimism about his party's performance in the December 19 polls and said his party would form the next government as the voters wanted a change.
