Amar Singh wants to be reborn as journalist

Saifai (Etawah), UP, Nov 29 (UNI) Maverick politician and senior Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh today expressed his desire to be reborn as a journalist.

Talking a swipe at the media, Mr Singh quipped that the politicians and actors were accountable to the public, but not the media.

The Rajya Sabha MP was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the 'Saifai Mahotsava'.

The leader reminisced that a few days back, a foreign woman journalist had interviewed him and asked the same thing as to what he desired to be in his next birth.

''I answered that I wanted to become a journalist, because they have no accountability like politicians or actors.'' SP supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and senior party leader and former Karnataka CM S Bangarappa were also present on the occasion.
