Acid thrown on Russian woman tourist in Taj city
Agra, Nov 29 (UNI) A Russian woman tourist sustained severe burns after some motorcycle-borne unidentified masked youth threw acid on her, police said today.
The incident occurred when Katrina (35), a Russian tourist, left her hotel room with her friend Masiba (25) for dinner last night, they said.
Some motorcycle-borne youth allegedly opened fire with an intention to rob them at Phool Saiyyed crossing in Sadar area.
While, the bullet missed its target, Katrina sustained severe burns later when the miscreants threw acid on her.
The accused later decamped with the victim's cell-phone.
The grievously wounded had been admitted to hospital, while a hunt to nab the absconding accused was on.
