Hyderabad, Nov 28 (UNI) West Bengal Information Technology Minister Debesh Das today said the Government was ready to provide alternative land for IT major Infosys.
The Minister, who was here to take part in INFOCOM, an International IT conference and exhibition, said, ''We are ready to provide another suitable land to match their expectations.'' ''We are in constant touch with Infosys people in this regard,'' he said, adding that the Government had allotted 40 acres of land at the rate of Rs 1.50 crore per acre to Tata Consultancy Services after Infosys did not show any inclination to take it.
Land price should not be an issue for any company to invest in a particular State, he said and cited the land price in New York and Japan. This did not deter the Investors from going to such cities, he added.
