Bhopal, Nov 28 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti (BJ) President Uma Bharti today decided to withdraw party candidates from Gujarat state assembly elections.

Ms Bharti had written a letter to newly-appointed Gujarat BJ President Chaitanya Shambhu Maharaj. Its copies were released to press here today.

She stated that Mr Shambhu Maharaj would be able to understand sentiments behind her decision as a Gujarat BJ President and protector of Hindutva. In this view, she has directed to pull back party candidates.

Ms Bharti said the BJ has become weak primarily because of two reasons. Firstly, BJ workers were associated with the RSS, which exercised pressure on them and they could not work as per their will.

Besides, more pressure was in view of the fact that the BJ could not tie up with those anti-Hindutva parties that could provide it with the necessary financial support.

The letter stated that BJ workers had come forward to fight assembly elections in Gujarat despite problems. In this view, Gujarat was an ideal state.

However, Bhagvan Hanuman, Shivaji and revolutionary Che Guevara who taught self-sacrifice for achieving the goal were ideals for the BJ.

The fiery sanyasin said the question before Hindu outfits that who was a true patriot ? This answer would be given by the public.
