New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) There was some abatement in the ongoing chill in the Capital city today with the mercury rising to 10.4 degree Celsius.

Clouds enveloping the city skyline in the morning led to a rise in minimum temperature in the city to 10.4 degree celsius, from 9.8 degree celsius yesterday.

The maximum dropped further, from 27.5 Degree Celsius yesterday, to 27.4 degree celsius today.

The relief from chill is likely to remain for the next couple of days with the weatherman forecasting a rise in night temperature in the next few days under the influence of a Western disturbance.

''In association with a western disturbance, isolated to scattered precipitation is likely over the Western Himalayan region and adjoining northern plains between December 1 and 3. The current meteorological analysis suggests rise in night temperatures by 1-2 degree celsius over northwest India and Rajasthan during the next 2-3 days,''the Met office said.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possibility of mist or shallow fog in the morning hours.

They have also forecast a rise in minimum temperature to 11 degree celsius tomorrow.
