Seminar on 'Tactics and Doctrine' at Mhow

Indore , Nov 28 (UNI) A two-day seminar on 'Tactics and Doctrine' commenced at the Army War College in Mhow near here in the presence of Chief of Army Staff General Deepak Kapoor.

The seminar began with the opening remarks by Lt Gen J K Mohanty, Army Commander, H Q Artarc, Shimla.

In his keynote address, General Kapoor touched upon geostrategic trends, regional perspective, threat and challenges being posed to the security of the country.

He threw light on the nature and contours of future wars besides highlighting the relevance and various nuances of 'Limited War in Tri-Service Perspective'.

The first session of the seminar had presentations on 'Dynamics of Limited War' and 'Strategic Concepts to Prosecute Limited Wars in Tri-Service Perspective' by senior Military Commanders, followed by a talk on 'Military-Industry Interface' by Lt Gen S S Mehta (Retd) Chairman, FICCI.
