Over 700 investors to participate in Resurgent Rajasthan Summit

Jaipur, Nov 27 (UNI) Over 700 industrial and business house delegates are expected to participate in the ''Resurgent Rajasthan : Partnership Summit'' scheduled to be held here on November 30 and December 1 with a target to attract investment of over Rs 40,000 crore.

The two day event ''one of the biggest showcases of investment opportunities in Rajasthan'' will provide an excellent opportunity to investors to understand and explore business environment and investment potentials in the state, Chief Secretary DC Samant said here today.

Mr Samant told reporters that the Rajasthan Government and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FIICI) Rajasthan Chamber are jointly organising the event which would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje at Birla Auditorium here on Thursday.

ICICI Bank Chairman-cum-Managing Director KV Kamath would deliver the key note address in the inaugural session.

The inaugural session would be followed by penal discussion on investment opportunity in Rajasthan which would be participated by eminent industrialists and investors like Honda Siel Cars India President M Takedagawa, Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agrawal and Bharat Hotels Chairperson Ms Jyotsna Suri.

Mr Samant said that the efforts made by the Rajasthan Government during past four years coupled with upsurgent economic activities at national level had helped in emerging Rajasthan one of the most ideal investment destination in the country.

He said that an investment of around Rs 50,000 crore had already been brought in the state by different groups and houses during past 4 years.
