Patna, Nov 28 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today blamed the developed nations for global warming saying the rich had disturbed the ecological balance through rapid industrialisation without taking preventive measures.

Addressing a seminar here, Mr Kumar said despite note of alert had been sounded by various groups about climate change, the developed nations did not bother to take effective measures to ensure the eological balance. ''They are now trying to force the developing nations to bear the expenses of the steps required to restore the ecological balance.'', the Chief Minister said.

He said the rich nations should now extend technical and financial assitance to those, who are not capable of bearing the burden of expenses for tackling this menace. If the developed nations take effective measures in time, life would become safe in future, Mr Kumar added.
