Bangalore, Nov 28 (UNI) Promethean, the global player in interactive learning, today announced the launch of their Interactive Whiteboard in India.
The user-friendly software, which had been successfully used in more than 70 countries, comes with Activclassroom range which enables teachers to prepare lessons in a digital format in order to capture student attention and accommodate different learning styles.
Promethean Senior Vice President of International Sales, Mark Reeves, told newspersons that besides saling its product the company wanted to make a difference in Education so that students could learn easily and make their career brighter.
He said that already 1.2 million Interactive whiteboards had been installed and this figure was exected to touch 5.3 by 2011.
Mr Reeves said, "As a global leader in interative technologies for the classroom, Promethean is continually looking at advancements for its Active classroom product line. With growing use of wide-screen projectors and content in the classroom, it only made sense to offer a wide-screen version of our product." Replying to a question, he said the price ranged from Rs 80,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh, excluding accessories. Indian market is expanding rapidly during the last two months about 85 enquiries were received.
The software now available in 25 languages and it would increased to 40 languages within next 15 months.
Promethean had launched the product in collaboration with Almoe Digital Solutions, the leading provider of Promethean's array of products in India which would be making available top of the range interactive technology to schools across the country.
