IBM enters into contract with Ordyn to provide IT soluti

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) Leading IT company IBM today entered into a multi-year agreement with optical telecom transmission equipment manufacturer Ordyn Technologies to manage its complete IT infrastructure.

IBM will provide global business and technology services, hardware, software, and IT Financing within the peripherals of its contract with Ordyn, company's statement said.

This deal will also enable Ordyn to leverage IBM's global domain knowledge and consulting expertise in the country's telecom space to ensure sustained growth.

According to the recent Indian Telecom Services Business report by Voice&Data, India's telecom services industry has grown 22 per cent to Rs 107,681 crore during 2006-07.

IBM India will address this growth and offer SMEs in the telecom sector the solutions and technologies that are critical for their growth in a challenging market.

IBM's expertise in this segment and the breadth of products and services will help successful companies in the SME market, such as Ordyn, continue to tackle the explosive Indian telecom market with the assurance that they have IBM at their side at all times," said company's Director (India/South Asia, Global Mid Market Business) Ramesh Narasimhan.

The deal also includes Global Business Services such as implementation of Oracle's E-Business Suite, and IBM Global Technology Services that include End User Services (EUS), Integrated Technology Services (ITS) and Infrastructure and connectivity solutions (ICS).
