Haj flights to begin from tomorrow
Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) Special flights for the Haj pilgrims will be operational from various embarkation points in Maharashtra from tomorrow.
This was stated by newly-appointed state Haj Committe chairman G S A Ansari while addresing a news conference here today.
He said a total of 10,016 pilgrims were allowed by the state committee to perform the holy Haj. About 23,880 people had applied for the same.
He said of the total 10,016 pilgrims, 1,798 are from Aurangabad region, 1,324 from Nagpur region and 6,894 from the Mumbai region who were allowed to go for the Haj, which includes 2,996 persons who are in the age group of 75 and above.
