16 arrested for selling fake branded shoes
Bangalore, Nov 28 (UNI) Central Crime Branch sleuths have arrested 16 people involved in selling fake shoes under various brand names.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Gopal Hosur told newsmen here that on getting a tip off some godowns in the busy commercial areas in the city were raided and more than 5000 pairs of shoes in top brands like Puma, Nike and Adidas worth over Rs 1.6 Crore were seized.
The culprits were manufacturing the shoes with a cost of about Rs 300 but selling at branded cost, he said.
