Steps to prevent exploitation in higher education: CM
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 27 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said stringent measures will be taken against exploitation by the private sector in higher education and to ensure quality education to all.
He was speaking at the first meeting of the advisory council of the Kerala State Higher Education Council.
Vacancies in aided sectors would be filled up at the earliest, he said and added that the previous Congress-led United Democratic Front Government's ban on the appointments led to the vacancies in aided sector.
He further said scholarships would be provided to deserving candidates in higher education.
Education Minister M A Baby, who is also the chairman of the council, was present.
