Punjab gets second prize in the IITF-2007

New Delhi Nov 27 (UNI) Punjab has won the second prize in the fortnight-long India International Trade Fair-2007, organized by the India Trade Promotion Organization at the Pragati Maidan.

According to the official spokesperson of the ITPO the selection was made by a jury constituted for this purpose.

First and the third prize of the IITF-2007 have gone to Kerala and Assam respectively, he added.

This year the theme of IITF-2007, which is held every year from November 14-27, is Agro Industries and Processed Food, which is close to the heart of State of Punjab which is known as the granary bowl of the country.

Punjab Pavilion has been designed in such a manner to project this theme in ample measure. On the one side of entrance, facia depicts the rapid strides made by the State of Punjab in agriculture sector with large panoramic view of the agricultural field.

On the other side, singular achievements in the processed food Industry have been highlighted. The graphic depiction of the view is blended with exotic landscaping to appropriately mirror the theme of this year. Luscious wheat straw and simulated model of milk flowing in Punjab the land of abundance is depicted.
