Kerala wins gold, Punjab bags silver
New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) Curtains rolled down on the 27th India International Trade Fair (IITF) here today with Kerala and Punjab pavillions bagging the gold and silver awards for best display at the Asia's largest trade show.
The fortnight-long fair, which concluded at Pragati Maidan, attracted over 18 lakh visitors.
More than 7,500 companies, including 400 from 43 countries, participated in the fair.
In North Eastern state pavilion category, Meghalaya won gold, silver went to Manipur.
Lakshadweep and Chandigarh received gold and silver medals among the Union Territories.
China and Belarus bagged the gold and silver from among foreign participants. respectively.
Among the Central government pavilions, Ministry of Water Resources received gold medal, while silver was bagged by Ministry of Power.
Khadi&Village Industries Commission won the gold, while silver was shared by Nuclear Power Corporation of India and Coir Board.
Delhi Lt. Governor Tejender Khanna, who lauded ITPO for organising successful fair, presented the awards.
