Jaipur, Nov 27(UNI) Gold Souk and the Jaipur Jewellery Show today jointly announced the constitution of an award to recognise excellence in the field of jems and jewellery manufacturing and marketing.

Announcing the launch of the award at a press conference here, secretary of the Jaipur Jewellery Show Rajiv Jain said award would be given away at a glittering function on Dec 23 followed by an entertainemnt programme by Bollywood stars.

The prograame has been planned as part of the upcoming fifth Jaipur Jewellery Show to be held here from Dec 22-25.

Mr Jain said it is for the first time that gems and jewellery retailers from the country and abroad will converge an event.

Speaking on the occassion Dinesh Khatoria co convenor of the JSS said ''Jaipur Jewellery Show has emerged as the second largest Jewellery show in the country and has always been in the forefront to showcase new trends in the industry. Our founder and pioneer in this field in Rajasthan late Rashmikant Durlabhji was keen to recognise jewellers for their examplary work. He said with the constituion of the award his dream has been fulfilled''.
