DM bans carrying of fire arms in Una

Una, Nov 27 (UNI) Exercising his powers vested under Section 144 IPC, Una Deputy Commissioner-cum-Returning Officer Onkar Sharma today banned carrying of firearms and explosives in the areas falling under the hyper-sensitive polling booths of the district.

The Returning Officer ordered all firearms to be deposited at the concerned police stations till the completion of the election process.

A total of thirty seven polling booths have been declared as hyper sensitive, that include ten each in Una and Santokhgarh, seven in Chintpurni, six in Gagret and four in Kutlehar segments, he added.

UNI
