Congress to pit Dinsha Patel against Modi

Ahmedabad, Nov 27 (UNI) Congress will field Union Minister of State for Petroleum Dinsha Patel from Maninagar against Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Mr Patel, an MP from Nadiad, will file his nomination tomorrow, said Congress sources here.

Congress' gambit could be to woo the voters of Patel community, who dominate the constituency, political observers said.

The BJP has also given tickets to 22 Patels.
