Farrukhabad, Nov 27 (UNI) Holding the Central and the Uttar Pradesh governments responsible for the recent serial bomb blasts in the state, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national vice-president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh today said both were blaming each other now.
''The blasts are an outcome of the laxity of the Centre and the UP government...both are denouncing each other to hide their shortcomings,'' the BJP leader maintained addressing the media here.
As many as 13 people were killed and over 70 others wounded in the serial blasts at Varanasi, Faizabad and Lucknow courts on November 23.
The wrong policies of the Centre has only given impetus to terrorism in the country, Mr Singh said, adding it repealed POTA without bringing any other effective law in its place.
The POTA was brought by the previous BJP led-National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, he reminded.
''Afzal Guru, the main accused of Parliament attack is yet to be executed as per the court order...this has happened due to the Centre's minority-centric and appeasement policies,'' Mr Singh underlined.
Meanwhile, the former UP CM asserted that the BJP would win with the coming Gujarat Vidhan Sabha poll next month with a thumping majority.
