Car bomb attack on military convoy in Kabul, 1 dead
KABUL, Nov 27 (Reuters) Militants attacked a foreign military convoy in the capital Kabul today, killing at least one Afghan civilian, a Reuters witness said.
Several people were wounded in the car bomb attack in central Kabul, near the British embassy.
Violence has surged in Afghanistan this year with more clashes, roadside bombs, suicide attacks and casualties as compared to 2006 and Afghan analysts say next year is expected to be more violent.
Taliban insurgents are fighting to overthrow the pro-Western Afghan government.
