Patna, Nov 27 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party's farmers' wing today demanded removal of Union Steel, Chemical and Fertiliser Minister Ramvilas Paswan from the Cabinet, following scarcity of fertilisers in the state.

BJP's farmers wing state president Satyendra Narayan Kushwaha here said he had written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that due to shortage in supply of fertilisers in the state, farmers were bound to purchase it from the black market.

He also rubbished claims of Mr Paswan regarding adequate supply of fertilisers to the state, adding that if the fertilisers were supplied as per requirements, then farmers will not fall victim to black marketiers.

He maintained that these peasants were discriminated against as irregularities were being practised by the staff of Union fertiliser ministry and Mr Paswan must be held responsible for it and he should be removed from the Union Cabinet.
