Chennai, Nov 27 (UNI) Ashok Leyland, Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group, has won the 'Employer of Choice Award 2007' in the manufacturing sector.
The award, instituted by CNBC-TV18 with U21 Global and partnered by Watson Wyatt Worldwide and Jobstreet.com, was judged by a two-phased process. The employee perspective phase captured employee engagement and their perception of the organisation, from a representative sample of 10 per cent of the employee base, a company release said here today.
The second phase was the employer's perspective, which explored the value of organisation placed on its HR team and analysed its approach towards measuring and building people's capabilities in a changing business landscape, measuring and rewarding performance.
A company under transition, Ashok Leyland had grappled successfully with changing customer needs, changes in technology and employee demographics as also a transformation in its business profile, the release added.
