AP Youth Cong criticises TDP's 'rythu garjana'

Vijayawada, Nov 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Youth Congress President T J R Sudhakar Babu today alleged that the TDP's 'rythu garjana'- farmers agitation - held here on November 24 was only a political stunt and not aimed at solving the farmers' problems.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the TDP had wasted the farmers time by inviting them to the agitation when there was good crop this year due to copious rainfall.

Mr Babu alleged that the UNPA leaders who attended the 'rythu garjana' were those rejected by the people in their respective states.

He also criticised the TDP for its remarks on AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi stating that Mr Gandhi did not have enough knowledge in politics.

Mr Babu castigated Mr Naidu for not implementing the election promise during his tenure on giving 40 per cent Assembly seats to the youth.

The Youth Congress cadres would organise programmes to highlight the state government's welfare schemes in every villages in the state, he said, adding, Mr Rahul Gandhi would visit the state next month.
