Saurashtr thrashes Rajasthan by 200 runs in Ranji tie

Jaipur, Nov 26 (UNI) A devastating bowling by left arm spinner Rakesh Dhruv (4 for 68) helped Saurashtra tame hosts Rajasthan by 200 runs to earn six points on the last day of their four-day Ranji Trophy Super League Group A tie at the KL Saini Stadium here today.

Saurashtra have now collected 10 points from three matches while Rajasthan has suffered third consecutive defeat and are placed at the bottom in the league.

Saurashtra had set a victory target of 389 to win for the home team after having declared their second innings on 253 for 3.

The score at close on the penultimate day. Rajasthan batsmen failed miserably against Saurashtra bowlers and were all out for 188 runs with Rajesh Bishnoi (36) being the highest scorer followed by Nikhil Doru 32, Gagan Khoda and Robin Bist each scored 26.

Besides Dhruv, CA Pujara scalped two wickets while Jobanputra, Maniar, Jadeja and captain Jaidev Shah shared one wicket each.
