Azamgarh, Nov 26 (UNI) 1993 Mumbai blasts accused Abu Salem was today brought at his parental village Saraimeer for 'chalisva' of his deceased mother under tight security cover.
Salem was brought from Mumbai's Arthur Road jail to the district jail here via Varanasi.
According to sources, after completion of formalities at the district jail, the mafia don was taken to Saraimeer for 'chalisva' of his mother Jaitunisa.
In October this year, the mafia was brought from Mumbai to his village for 'Supurd-e-Khaak' ceremony, following the death of his mother.
Salem, however, maintained silence on the questions raised by scribes.
On asked about Mumbai blasts, the possibilty of entering politics and girl friend Monika Bedi, Salem remained quiet.
However, he expressed a keen desire to open a hospital at Saraimeer in the name of his dead mother.
''I am greatful to people for all the love they have shown. I want to do a lot for Saraimeer and Mubakrakpur. Its my sincere wish to open a hospital in the name of my mother,'' Salem said.
''I am unhappy to leave my native town,'' he lamented.
On grilled further, Salem said 'No' to the newspersons.
In November 2005, Salem and Monika were brought to India through extradition.
Salem had decided to fight the concluded UP Legislative Assembly election, but could not make it, as his name was not present in the voter's list.
