Jammu, Nov 26 (UNI) The host Jammu and Kashmir today faced a big defeat at the hands of visitors Jharkhand by 250 runs on the final day of Ranji Trophy group plate B match played here.
The hosts, who were chasing a tough target of 375 runs and were struggling at 85 for five the previous day, were not allowed to play big ones as Jharkhand put J and K under pressure and their team collapsed for 125 runs.
Resuming their batting next morning, J and K was today shattered for 125 runs in the first session as Jharkhand seamers did the job and forced the host to bent down their knees.
Pacers S S Roy and Santosh Lal crippled the J and K innings with having four wickets each in pocket.
This was the third consecutive defeat for the Jammu and Kashmir while the team would take on tough contender Haryana here on December 1.
