India, Singapore to conduct bilateral defence exercise
Singapore, Nov 26 (UNI) The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Indian Air Force (IAF) will conduct a bilateral exercise, codenamed SINDEX, at Kalaikunda Air Force Station, India from November 26 to December 13.
The RSAF F-5 fighter aircraft and IAF MiG-27 ground attack fighters are participating in the exercise.
SINDEX provides a valuable opportunity for the two air forces to interact in realistic and challenging conditions, the Singapore Defence Ministry said in a statement.
The exercise would enhance mutual understanding and enable the two air forces to learn from each other.
This is the fifth exercise in the series but the first exercise conducted under the recently concluded Bilateral Agreement for the Conduct of Joint Military Training and Exercises in India was between the RSAF and IAF.
The exercise marks another milestone in the warm defence relations between the two nations, which include regular exchange visits and professional interaction, the statement added.
