BJP needs Uma Bharti: Kalyan Singh

Etah, Nov 26 (UNI) BJP national vice-president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh said Bhartiya Janshakti Party (BJ) chief Uma Bharti should return to BJP as the party needs such leaders.

''Uma Bharti should return to the party soon...efforts are underway to bring her back, as BJP needs her,'' Mr Singh said, while addressing newspersons here yesterday.

Ms Bharti, also former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, had left the BJP and formed the BJS party.

Noting the serial bomb blasts at the courts' in three Uttar Pradesh cities, Mr Singh said, ''it shows the failure of Intelligence department both at the Centre and the state.'' The BJP leader further lambasted Chief Minister Mayawati for failing to control crime in the state.
