BJP launches second-leg of Yatra to highlight JD(S) betrayal
Bangalore, Nov 26 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party today launched the second leg of its 'Janajagruti Yatra' to highlight the 'betrayal' of Janata Dal(S) that toppled the first BJP Government in the South.
Speaking after launching the yatra here, former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa expressed confidence that people of Karnataka will teach JD(S) a lesson.
Launching a broadside on former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and his son and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, he said JD(S) would be wiped out from the political scene due to 'political opportunism' it exhibited in Karnataka.
Mr Yeddyurappa alleged that Mr Kumaraswamy, ater enjoying power for 20-months with the support of BJP, had conspired to pull down the Government with the active connivance of his father.
He said the people of the State would be informed about the treachery committed against BJP.
Party state unit president Sadananda Gouda, senior BJP leaders C T Ravi, D H Shankara Murthy, Ramachandra Gowda and R Ashok, were among others present on the occasion.
The yatra would be taken through Mandya, Mysore, Madikeri and Hassan districts in the Old Mysore area, considered as the stronghold of the JD(S).
