24 hrs music using comb, enroute record books
Tiruchirapalli, Nov 26 (UNI) A BSNL employee, J John Selvaraj, completed his feat today of playing music non-stop for 24 hours with a comb, in order to enter the Limca and guinnes books of records.
The 39-year old Selvaraj, began his effort at 1145 hrs hrs yesterday and completed it around 12 noon today. The BSNL sponsored event was well attended by its employees and general public.
Mr Selvaraj told newspersons that since his effort was spreading communal harmony. He commenced the event with devotional songs and then the cine songs.
He sang 850 songs and most of them were from late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M G Ramachandran's movies. Apart from this, he also sang 20 Hindi songs and also 60 devotional songs.
He had taken a five minute break after every one hour. The CD of the event would be sent to authorities of Limca and Guinnes books of records, he added.
His performance would be the first of its kind, he claimed.
