2 murder accused slapped with life terms

Lalitpur, Nov 26 (UNI) A local court today pronounced life imprisonment on two murder accused.

According to prosecution, on May 8, 2001, Yashvendra Singh (20) was indiscriminately fired upon by Jagdish Thakur, son Raghvendra and cousin Jogendra at Talbehat town.

The wounded was rushed to the Jhansi Medical College in a life threatening condition, where he succumbed.

Later, the victim's mother had registered a case against the accused at Kotwali police station.

On the basis of circumstancial evidence and testimony, Additional District and Sessions Court Judge A K Ganesh convicted the accused, besides slapping a penalty of Rs 10,000 each.

However, the judge transferred the case of another accused Raghvendra to the Chief Judicial Magistrate court, as he was a minor.
